About Utah Stooping Club

Stooping Club Utah is a student-built system for redistributing usable items within the community.

Why We Started

Many usable items—clothes, books, school supplies, and everyday essentials—are often thrown away because there isn’t a simple way to pass them on. At the same time, others could use these exact items.

We built a system to connect those two sides.

What We Do

We collect usable items, review them, and list them through our platform so they can be claimed for free.

Instead of one-time drives, items move through a consistent process—making reuse easier and more reliable.

How It Works

Anyone can browse available items and reserve what they need. Items are then picked up at a scheduled time and location.

Donations are optional, but they help keep items moving through the system.

Our Network

Stooping Clubs exist at other high schools and colleges, with headquarters based in Berkeley, California.

Stooping Club Utah is building the first branch in Utah, adapting the model to our local community.

Student-Led Initiative

This project is led by students across operations, outreach, and platform development.

The focus is not only on service, but on building a system that functions clearly and consistently.

Looking Forward

The goal is to expand beyond a single school and make the system repeatable in other communities.

This is about building something that continues to function, not just something that happens once.
